5th Essex GC in a row, 2nd in Vuelta de los Castillos, 2nd in WC RR, 3rd Team in the World Ranking, great WT season as french manager, more victories than ever in a season... Best season ever for the team of course !
First a quick word about WT, where we managed to win another race in A group, France ended 10th in the Nation ranking, quite good with the riders wa have, and last but not least, Hemery won the rider ranking !
Now we wish good luck to Delion who replaced Thomas Anderson for the season 26 !
The season started well with 3 wins in the first 3 TT races of the season (Montelbano twice, and Napolitano in TF). The best way to stay confident for the rest of the season.
However we failed in using Ryle's TF in Vuelta : not a problem when you know he ended 2nd in GC and won the SC, but maybe with TF he would have done even better...
Maybe the possibility to use it well in Germany ? Yes and no. He did a really great Tour, and could claim a top 9 easily, maybe even a podium. But he failed in only one stage : the TT. Lost about 5 minutes to other captains. Too much to hope for a result (11th place in GC)
But for the 5th season in a row, we won at least a Tour, and for the 5th season in a row, it's again Montelbano, and again in Essex.

During this Tours, the time trialers still did great in TT races. Here is a list of what they did :
-Sandro Montelbano : 2 wins and 1 second place, plus a win in Essex TT stage
-Theodore Castle : 2 wins, 3 second places and 1 third place
-Edward Napolitano : 1 victory and 1 third place
-Nathaniel Yde : a second place and 7th in WC ITT
-Cary Heckert : No result, but still 360 points in TT races scored
Ryle aslo had a very good season, with not less than 6 results and 790 points scored !
Whay impacts did this great season had? We're now 3rd in the World Ranking, and we'll try to hold it as long as possible !
And to do this, we changed a little our goals for the incoming season : still aiming for TT, our main goal, and Tours. But not Vuelta again, only because Montelbano will try to do the double Cymru Essex ! And for that he will need all the help the team can offer to him !

And now, we're going to check if the season's goals had been achieved :
-To win a Tour (yes, again) : CHECK !
-Train, train and train again, as always (Yde and Kang) : CHECK ! Yde has maxed at 50 av, so Kang is only av 42 so far, and his training has been delayed due to Gustavsen hiring, but he will be sent in training camp soon again.
-Top 10 at the end of the season, depending on what other goals come to us : CHECK ! With a 3rd place, and 3880 points scored !
New goals for incoming season :
-At least podiums in both Cymru and Essex Tours with Montelbano in TF
-End Kang training, and train Liam Alley as much as possible.
-Maybe hire another possible Tour captain.
-Top 10 at the end of the season would be appreciated

5ème victoire à L'essex Tour, 2nde place à la Vuelta, 2 au championnat du monde sur route, 3 équipe au classement mondial, belle saison au WT, record de victoires en 1 saison battu : autrement la meilleure saison que l'équipe ait jamais réussie !
Pour commencer un petit mot sur le WT, ou nous avons ajouter 1 victoire au palmarès de l'équipe de France, atteignant une honorable 10ème place au classement par nations, et ou Hemery aura briller en gagnant le classement individuel en alignant les belles performances !
Maintenant souhaitons bonne chance à Delion qui a repris le flambeau.
Sinon, la saison à commencée de belle manière en remportant les 3 1ères courses CLM du calendrier (Montelbano par 2 fois et Napolitano en TF). Un bon moyen pour accumuler de la confiance pour la suite.
Cependant, nous n'avons pas su préparer Nicholas Ryle suffisamment bien pour qu'il arrive en TF à la Vuelta. Cela ne l'aura pas empêcher de finir 2ème au général et de finir maillot vert de meilleur sprinter, mais on aurait pu espérer encore mieux en TF.
Nous y avons vu la possibilité de briller une nouvelle fois au Germany Tour. Et nous avons à moitié réussi : Ryle a été très bon durant tout le Tour ce qui aurait du lui permettre de finr au moins dans les 9, et raisonnablement sur le podium. Seulement voilà, il a complètement manqué son CLM (peut-être une chute ou un problème mécanique), ce qui lui aura fait perdre 5 minutes, et toutes chances de finir avec les meilleurs (11ème au final).
Heureusement, et pour la 5ème année consécutive, nous avons tout de même réussi à remporter un Tour. Et une nouvelle fois c'est Montelbano qui s'en est chargé, toujours à L'Essex Tour bien sur.

Pendant que les Tours se déroulaient, nos spécialistes du chrono se sont également illustrés :

De son côté, Nicholas Ryle a aussi brillé, avec 6 résultats et 790 points à son compteur !
Résultat de ces performances ? La 3ème place mondiale ! Un exploit inédit pour nous qu'il nous faudra tenir autant que faire se peut ! Et pour y parvenir, nous allons légèrement modifier notre plan habituel de saison. Les CLM seront bien sur au menu, et les Tours. Mais pas la Vuelta, qui se déroule hélas aux même dates que Cyrmu Taith, auquel Montelbano participera ! Et puisque nous visons haut, il lui faudra le soutien de toute l'équipe.

Vérifions maintenant les objectifs que nous nous étions fixés pour cette saison :
-Gagner un Tour (oui, encore) : FAIT !
-Entrainer, encore et encore (Yde et Kang) : FAIT ! Yde a maxé à av 50, ce qui aura repoussé l'entrainement de Kang qui est pour le moment à 42 av. Encore reporté du à l'achat de Gustavsen, Kang devrait retourner au camp sous peu.
-Un top 10 à la fin de la saison, en fonction du déroulement de la saison bien sur : FAIT ! Avec la 3ème place mondiale et 3880 points !
Enfin, les nouveaux objectifs :
-Au minimum un podium à la fois à l'Essex et au Cymru avec Montelbano qui sera en TF
-Finir l'entrainement de Kang et bien entamer celui de Liam Alley
-Eventuellement acheter un autre potentiel capitaine pour les Tours
-Terminer une nouvelle fois dans le top 10 pourquoi pas
